|Exposure to hostile magics over time, combined with a training regimen that teaches a White Mage to focus their own mana into their bodies to act as a buffer against harmful effect, teaches a White Mage to build a resistance to all forms of incoming magical attack.  Unfortunately, this can also work well against even the most beneficial of magics.
