The Dauntless is light destroyer-class Dalmascan Airship dating back to before Larson's Folly.  The vessel was found abandoned by the Revelgizz goblin clan in the mountains they called home and was stripped and refitted to act as a colony ship to save the clan from total annihilation from ever-increasing fiend attacks.  The ship was captained by the clan leader and passed from father to son until it eventually came under the command of [[Nitro]] Revelgizz who still acts as it's standing captain and owner.  The goblins that dwelled on the ship have either been killed in attacks, old age, or have left the ship to resume life on the ground leaving the vessel to be manned by a rather rag-tag group of various races.  


The Dauntless has recently received a severe refit.  An experimental Nethicite power core has brought the ship's systems back to full power.  The core could power a vessel much large than the Dauntless, and is rechraged by actually exposing it to the mists!  To this end the underside of the Dauntless has been fitted with an air scoop and pump system to allow the ship to refuel by skimming the tops of mist clouds and gathering it into the power syste.  It's weaponry is as varied, from magitech cannons to black-powder cannons to ballista dot the deck and protrude from ports in the patched and reinforced hull.  The Dauntless will fly as long as it's captain can keep it in the air, no matter what it takes.

Width:  40 feet on deck, 120 feet from flight pylon to flight pylon.

Height: 50ft from bottom of hull to main deck.  80 feet from bottom of hull to top of the bridge tower.

30 Black Powder Cannon (sides)

30 Magitech Cannon     (sides)


Short to Medium Range Cannon used in defense and as the primary ship-to-ship combat guns.

8 Black Powder Long Cannon (Front)

These guns slide out from behind the front bow shielding, used to fire initial shots before broadside engagement and to attack ships attempting to run.  twice the range of the broadside cannons.

4 Heavy Ballista (Deck)

These deck-mounted seige weapons are used to fire incendiary spears, as well as spears attached to hooks and chains for boarding purposes.

6 Ground Mortars

Magitech weapons along the bottom on the hull designed to fire downwards onto ground troops and other targets.  The mortars launch incendiary balls of energy that explode on impact.  Blast radius is 25 feet.  Mortars have a 45 degree arc of fire.

Bomb Bay

Not really a weapon, but the lower cargo doors can be opened and bombs or other objects pushed out of them onto targets bellow the ship.

Energized Plating

The hull plating of the Dauntless can be charged from the power core deflecting a portion of incoming damage and dispersing between 25-50% of all incoming magical attacks.  When not charged the plating is layered steel and can withstand a great deal of punishment.

The front Shields of the Dauntless can also be energized, and are 5 times thicker than the hull plating to ward off head-on assaults.
