Beauty, the eternal majesty of nature, soaring trees, laden with hanging vines and moss, emerald green carpets of grass dotted with wild-flowers and herbs, large bushes and thickets of fern and scrub brush. A fairy tale forest which only lacks the singing animals and lost members of Royal Families to complete the image of ideal perfection that Phoenix's home portrays. At least that is what part of the realm of Phoenix shows, flickering mercilessly through this wonderland of perfect woodland are tongues of writhing sweeping flames. They set fire to this woodland, burning with an intensity which reduces all to ash, great swathes of dead woodland and powdered ash litter the beautiful forest and yet from this devastation does grow new life, trees and seeds sprout and the woodland grows again.

Trying to reach the centre can take days and it is rarely safe to stop for very long, trying to travel through sections that have been burnt is as dangerous as walking through the lush undistubved forest land. The wavering paths of these most deadly flames are unpredictable, consuming the life of the forest as they wish on whims that non can understand. It is said to be one of the most beautiful of realms and yet the deadliest for the consuming fire will see any caught within are reincarnated against their wish and will into something other then what they were. It is said the great fire bird lives at the centre of this realm and that only there, beyond the source of the flames of rebirth can one seek audience with mighty Phoenix.

'''Insight+Survival and Insight+Alertness are the skills required to navigate the Ash Forest, avoiding the burning flames, escaping encroaching fire-lines.''' Anyone who is caught in the fire will instantly be consumed and reincarnated, the Judge may pick what species (Except Esper or Lucavite) and what new age the character is reborn at. Skills and memories are mostly intact but the Judge may decide on some adjustments to abilities/skills for the "New Life" if it would be appropriate. This should be done in discussion with the player, anyone enterring the Ash Forest should be aware this is a possibility and that their character could be changed by visiting this place

====The Heart of Life - Home of Phoenix===

To reach the central heart of the Forest of Ash takes days of cautious travel, if visitors are successful they will reach a large undisturbed glade. Clover and heather cover the rocky ground surrounding a crystal clear pool of water shaded by massive willow trees. Here Phoenix can be entreated to appear and if at least one person meets the requirements for an audience or pact with the beautiful Fire-Bird she will appear from beneath the quiet waters of the Pool of Life and greet them with respect and honour for having braved the dangers of their home.
