+|Warriors take advantage of the fact that their chosen weapons are often made to buy them space in combat, but that doesn't stop the occasional young upstart to get inside their range and take a poke at them.  At that point, it's often times better to give a little ground, move back from the potential hit, and leave yourself some room to come back again just as hard.  Sometimes the fool gets lucky, and sometimes they fall short.
