Understanding an item's very nature and purpose, a Journeyman can actually take a moment and reinforce that item with a little knowledge, and a little power, providing it with a slight enhancement to it's form and function. However, such enhancements can be a detriment to the more fragile and disposable things, and like any minor change it will eventually wear off. |
System: When used, requiring a standard action and a MP cost of Rank/4, Reinforce can either increase the protective value of a piece of armor by 5% + 5 per 4 ranks (max of 35%), increase the effectiveness of a weapon's attack power by rank/6, or can make an item 50% more effective for 1 usage, but with a 10% chance of causing failure in disposable items. Enhancements last for Rank/4 rounds. The items must be Reinforced before any bonus effect can be used. |
