- History
The Spectral Tree Exodus is the Greater Spirit of Cunning. It believes that there is no such thing as deceit, merely another avenue towards the goal of success. This belief is what led him originally to fight alongside the other Lucavi in the great war that saw him and his 13 fellows trapped within prisons of Nethicite. It was this prison that was discovered by a Viera explorer deep within the Wood whilst they where searching for a place to make their home. Sensing a presence within the leader of the party communed with the spirit trapped within, sensing something about them and their beliefs that resonated with the nature of the being trapped within. Ever cautious the Viera communed with Exodus' spirit for a long time, sharing their thoughts, feelings and beliefs with the Lucavi spirit.
In the end a compact was established, between Viera and Exodus, he renounced his alleigance to the others and with the Viera's aid broke the prison that contained him, letting his spirit diffuse itself through out the woods, becoming the patron, protective spirit and voice of the "Wood". His release caused alarm amongst the ranks of the spirit realm, but upon sending an ambassador Famfrit's new alleigance to a mortal race and his renouncing his place as a Lucavi. Unlike other spirits Exodus remained on the mortal realm, the spirit and voice of the Viera Wood, guiding, advising and watching over the Viera people.
With the coming of the mist however the Wood was destroyed, Exodus' spirit was harmed greatly, for as the wood fell so did the spirit, forced to flee the spirit realm, weakened and lessened by the destruction of his form he made his way to the great wood. Where it is said he waits longing for the day when his people will come to him and he can once more set down roots in the forest of the world. The viera can no longer hear his voice, though he can watch and do his best to guide them in dreams and thought, he waits, longing for the day when one of his chosen children will carry the seed of his power back to the welcoming forests of the world.
