While a book might provide one with the basic statistics of a monster... it's classification, it's health, and it's general territory and weaknesses, it takes a keen mind to soak up that knowledge to apply it in a more practical manner. With a quick mind and an even quicker tongue, a Scholar can assess a foe and provide their more war-like brothers with critical information and bring it down expeditiously. |
