Shemhazai
Shemhazai was once an aid to Hades, offering guidance and advice to those souls who wandered the Abyss, lost, alone and confused. She was a harbinger of hope to those souls who had no afterlife or final destination to travel to. Lost souls wandering the shadowed, grey and dark forest of the Abyss. She would come to them each in turn and with words and guidance lead them to their final rest. She chafed however under Hades rule, claiming he was stifling her ability when she should be out upon the world leading the dead to their rest and seeing that those who died where taken to where they belonged. The issue was that where the dead belonged was up to "her" to decide according to Shemhazai a stance that Hades strongly objected too.
When Ultima called rebellion the half horse, half women avatar of death strode forth to join the cause, bringing the whispered knowledge of countless dead to Ultima's side, allowing them to strike down gods and storm the realms of the spirits with ease. She walked the earth teaching men warfare and destruction, sowing the seeds of despair and consigning souls to power the weapons and artifacts of the great and terrible warlords who rose to Ultima's Banner. In horror Hades watched as his former Seneschal walked upon the earth sowing destruction, helpless to face her new found power outside of the Abyss. In the end it was only Diabolos' intervention that stopped the whisperer in her tracks, cutting her off from her source of power with the darkness that is his to command. Shemhazai was sealed away within a dark crystal of nethicite and consigned to the deepest depths of the void, cut off from light and sound, disguised in a place none can enter except by the will of Diabolos.
