Barbariccia
An elemental spirit of air Barbariccia, a storm spirit by nature who during the war betrayed Pandemona and the court of winds by seizing the Great Hurricane and bringing its unfettered powers to bare on earth. The devastation wrought on Terra's surface by the storm of storms was unimaginable. Oceans where transformed into legions of waterspouts, whole islands where scoured to the bedrock and the death toll climbed each time Barbariccia brought the power of the hurricane into play.
In the end Pandemona stopped them by removing the source of the hurricane's power, the Emperor of the Winds opened the Pot of Winds and released the Cardinal winds, with their power no longer bound by the ancient agreement they scattered, withdrawing their support and energy and the hurricane ended. Gales blew across Terra for a day and a night before the air fell still and motionless. Barbariccia was banished entrapped by Pandemona in the Sapphire Nethicite, sealed from the world to the best of his abilities, the Sapphire held in the keeping of the emperor on a plinth in the Windless Room where Barbariccia's influence is curtailed. The quest of Pandemona to recapture and tame the cardinal winds and restore the natural cycle of winds to Terra is another story but one that has its roots in the depravity of Barbariccia and their actions during Ultima's war against heaven.
