| A Scholar is not a fighter, nor is he expected to be, and sometimes that can be an advantage. By being unassuming, and knowing when is the right time to duck and cower, or present to monster a submissive front, a scholar can occasionally forestall that strike from ringing true upon them. |
| System: Targeted opposed roll before damage is dealt. The scholar may opt to check Insight+Subterfuge+Reactive/Hesitation vs a TN of the attackers To-Hit roll. Success will inflict a minor speed debuff staving off the incoming attack for 25 ticks per level. |
