Any fool can learn to pick a pocket, and most fools can before they get a hand chopped off for their troubles.  But just because you can take something, doesn't mean you get to keep it.  Now for us, we know that if you can get away from the guard, and you can get clear, you can live to steal another day.  There is an entire highway along the roofs of houses, from the barracks to the docks, one that avoids eyes, and gives clear lines of sight.  But to run, a proper Footpad should learn to balance skill with daring.  No reward comes without risk.
