There is a wealth of knowledge that can be obtained on any topic, and when one who has taken the time to learn it, it can be as intimidating in some manner as the strongest warrior or most powerful of mages. When someone can turn your entire being into simple numbers, be it man or monster, from how healthy you are to what you are weakest to, it is enough to make one begin to worry about how they will fare going against them.
