A swirl of blue, a flash of cold, and an unshakeable verdict of what is right and wrong in the law--and where everyone's place is in the hierarchy. A follower of the Corrupt Empress, Mateus, Tarjn Alajrsdottir is considered merely a nobody in the scene of Emberstrand. Ambitious to a fault, young Tarjn believes the best way to control destiny is to control it through others and rise to the top of the city's political structure.
