An archetypal spirit that represents the doom of all sailors at sea and in the sky. It has had a place all through man's tarnished history of sailing. Watery, forlorn, forsaken, this spirit represents every legend of the doomed and damned of the sea. Appearing to some as the Doom Ship be it sailing the sea or gliding through the cloudbanks of the skies. Sometimes it appears as the captain when it comes for sailors on land, this ship swirls, broken-masted, endlessly around and around in the eternal whirlpool of The Maelstrom.

It should be noted that despite rumours to the contrary the Doom Ship and its captain are one and the same, in what ever form it happens to be currently using. Even when they are both visible, the unsettling presence of the Doom Ship with Davey Jones at the helm, they are one and the same. A tattered, broken-masted ship, holding the doomed and damned souls of sailors. The captain thereof, the forlorn Davey Jones, weeps as he sails himself around and around the eternal whirlpool of the Maelstrom, choking on seawater with every breath.

The souls that inhabit the Ship are all there until Terra spins her last, once their name is enterred in the book there is no leaving the vessel of the damned. Some scholars have likened the Doom Ship in a similar light to Doom Train, collecting those who die at sea and helping them to reach the Abyss but those passengers are allowed to pass on to their rebirth, the sailors who man the vessel are never to know the touch of the shore beneath their feet or the embracing warmth of Terra and their rebirth.

Prerequisites: Archetype-Summon of 15, Water-Summon of 5, Sailing of 15.

If the summoner has ever committed piracy in their lifetime, they may choose to pact this spirit without any requirements... but in doing so, doom their soul to the ship when they die, to never reincarnate, only to sail, endlessly around and around, drowning forever.
