The Greater Spirit of Punishment and Penance, the Tonberry King is perhaps one of the most feared Spirits of all, for he offers no respite to any, be you mortal, Esper, or Greater Spirit. He wanders the planes of existence, ensuring that all kharmic debt is fulfilled in one form or another. He will not obey any summon unless the person themselves have devoted themselves to the same ideal of kharma, and harm only when to punish or protect.

Finding him to make pact is one of the trickiest and most dangerous things. First one has to track him down inside the catacombs with a check of Insight+Survival+Channeling

Once he has been found the summoner must state his intention to pact him and survive a meeting with the Knife. If survived the King of Tonberry's will consent to a pact, if it is failed... well then Kharma has spoken and finally caught up with them.

When summoned, the Tonberry King will approach the enemy, and drive his knife into their heart. Depending on the number of people or things this person has killed or harmed, depends on the damage done by the knife. Those that live a life of peace and saintly behavior will be completely unharmed by the attack, for they dont apply to Everyone's Grudge. It is said the Tonberry King walks the catacombs leaving them at set points to approach those whose Kharma is in balance, for it is not always darkness that needs righting. He could as easily stab a murderer as an innocent child for Kharma swings both ways though death only finds those whose Kharma is dark, those whose Kharma shines like a lantern in the night are often rewarded by his unseen visits.
