Lecture

Every student knows that teacher. The one who talks... on and on, ad nauseum, the instructors who teach so often the same things it becomes nothing but rote for them. But that particular brand of boredom has become a handy tool for the wandering Scholar in need of defending themselves. Perhaps not the best form of defense, but if it means to live to fight another day, boring your foes to death can be just as effective as any sword or spell.

System: his technique, requiring a skill check of Insight+Knowledge+Active/Lecture which is resisted by Willpower+Fortitude, will inflict [Sleep] status targets. The range of this ability is a cone extending outwards from the lecturer 1 space + 1 per every 6 ranks as they gain a better ability to carry their monotonous droning through the din of battle.
