Overcharge

Memorization of incantation and formula make it hard for a magus to take time to learn anything else in the means of self-defense.  But a canny mage has learned how to incorporate their own spellcasting skill right into combat, using their knowledge to apply the movements of the hands when casting and the ability to anticipate circumstance by calculation to compensate for their lack of pure melee prowess.

System: Spend a turn to provide a (20% +5% per 4 ranks) damage bonus to the caster’s next spell, at the cost of an (80% - 5% per 4 ranks) increase to casting time.
